We had our annual audit for ISO9001 this morning and passed with flying colors. One OFI and no nonconformances, now it’s party time!!!!!!! Nothing of value will be accomplished this afternoon and I’m OK with that.

ISO isn’t bad at all. I cut my teeth on TS16949 as a quality engineer, so my perspective may be a little bit warped though.

Haha, I just get annoyed by it, mainly because our ISO set up is massively flawed at my work.

I can be “Non compliant” because other groups can completely mess with my work (and they do sometimes)

No, he got it right. ISO audits are a colossal waste of time. If you’re prepared for them you spend a couple hours twiddling your thumbs babysitting the auditor. If you’re not prepared for them you spend a couple hours wasting the auditors time saying things like “well... um...” and then get to spend the next week or month doing corrective actions instead of doing your work.

it’s complicated. we have 5 companies under 1 roof. only 1 (mine) is held liable to ISO.

We all work on the same server.
